Thus, I believe each of their existence is tremendously meaningful and really worth to take some of our time to discover their ''beings''.
As a girl, I like cute stuffs. Everyone has a different interpretation on that word. The reason why I mentioned that is because the following information I'm going to share may not gain every viewer's agreement of thinking that it is cute. If you feel that they are not pleasant to you, please bear with me as this will definitely increase our knowledge and might even change some of our mindset!
Lets prepare ourselves to enter into this fascinating journey!
The first animal that I'm going to introduce is the smallest frog in the world.
It has gained the title of being 'The world's smallest vertebrate' with the body length of 7 mm long.
They are tiny enough to fit on the tip of a pencil.
Paedophryne amauens (scientific name) was first discovered by a group of researchers in Papua New Guinea in 2010. The forest is specially 'noisy' at night and scientists were curious to these sounds. They were trying to trace the source of the sound and it led them to the leaf litter,so they grabbed a handful of leaves into plastic bag. These tiny frogs hopped out and dispersed.
It makes an incredibly loud sound, which sounds like cricket, at dawn and dust. As carnivore, they usually prey on small invertebrates. They also have features which help them to camouflage among the leaves.
Truly, this species is unusually small that make it not only cute but interesting!
